Shell and tube heat exchanger, also known as tubular heat exchanger, is a partition heat exchanger that uses the wall surfaces of tube bundles enclosed in a shell as heat transfer surfaces. This type of heat exchanger features simple structure, low manufacturing cost, wide flow cross-section and easy scale cleaning.
It can be operated under high temperature and high pressure, and is the most widely used type.
